Nitrate based fertilisers
Nitrate based fertilisers, are pure nutrients, offering the required precision efficiency and reliability to meet the agronomic and environmental imperatives of modern agriculture.
SULFAN

SULFAN is a unique, high quality nitrate product with sulphur included during the production process. An excellent for top dressing crops that need nitrate, but also benefit from the inclusion of sulphur.
It has a balanced nitrogen source : nitrate-N (12 NO3) and ammonium-N (12 NH4). A proportion of the nitrogen is in nitrate form and gives superior results in the crops when compared to pure ammonia or urea based products. The products are easy to handle and can be applied to a wide range of crops.
Formula : 24% N + 6%S
CAN

CAN (26% N) is a high quality nitrate fertilizer. An excellent option for top dressing on many crops, including cereals.

Agricultural Lime

Qualitas Company limited supplies a wide range of lime-based products used in agriculture. These products are most often offered to as ‘Ag-lime’.

Ag-lime is generally used to increase soil pH, which can increase crop yields among a wide range of soil conditions. Ag-lime is often used to improve the physical structure of the soil by reducing surface crusting, increasing water retention, and reducing soil erosion. Lime treatment helps crops to better tolerate drought and west conditions by increasing both root penetration and water percolation through the soil.

Using Ag-lime to adjust pH in soils can reduce toxic levels of manganese, iron and aluminium.

  • Manganese and iron exhibit toxicity to plants at a low soil pH
  • Aluminium increases in solubility as soil pH decreases. High levels of aluminium can restrict root and plant development.

In addition to the above, Ag-lime has been shown to increase herbicide effectiveness, increase nutrient availability to plants and add calcium to soil.

Stock Feed Lime

Calcium is one of the main minerals needed by animals to grow, develop and produce. Its main function in the animal is for bone and teeth formation. A deficiency or imbalance in calcium can cause poor growth rates, poor bone development, reduced milk output and more obviously milk fever.
Ground limestone (calcium carbonate) is a common and economical calcium source for animals. Pure calcium carbonate contains one of the highest levels of elemental calcium—40%.

Agricultural Lime

Agricultural Gypsum is used to correct compacted soil or soil with large amounts of clay. It can also be used to counteract excessive saline levels in soil and has the added benefit of not affecting the pH of soil.

Dolomitic Lime

Dolomitic lime is derived from deposits of calcium carbonate combined with magnesium carbonate and contains much higher levels of magnesium.
